Meet Your Acupuncturist
Betsy Laurin L.Ac. relocated to the Capital Region from Southern Vermont, where she lived for 10 years after earning her Bachelor’s in English and Psychology from Williams College in 2010. After experiencing a stubborn back injury in 2016, she discovered acupuncture and decided to return to school to make a career change.
She holds a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Mineola, NY where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, made dean’s list regularly, and received the president’s scholarship for outstanding academic performance. Her studies included lectures, hands-on classes and clinical rotations focusing on acupuncture, gua sha, Qi Gong, and a variety of other modalities utilized in Chinese medicine. She is licensed to practice acupuncture in New York, and is board certified through NCCAOM.
Betsy specializes in the treatment of back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, anxiety, and stress management. She is also skilled in the treatment of a variety of other disorders including menstrual irregularities, gastrointestinal disorders, headaches, and sleep disorders.
